At first I was hesitant; it wasn’t the big break I'd been imagining. But the guy urged me, saying everyone had to start somewhere -- that I should see this as “on-the-job training.” Plus they’d pay me $50!
I am excited to learn it’s a Melissa McCarthy feature –- and doubly excited I will be playing one of 17 Midwestern women dancing and cheering on a male stripper. YES.

When I started acting in LA, I was constantly cast as the crying girl in plays like Chekhov’s “Three Sisters,” weird indie films and the occasional absurd and tragic music video.
We are a brown blur, a coded caricature painted in broad strokes where we are all “sassy” and “urban” and cannot simply clean the kitchen floor without finger-snappin’ and mouthpoppin’ at our appliances.
Remember when RDJ did little indie films and had silly hair?
