A lot of you are new around here (welcome! thanks for coming! I'm so glad you could make it!), so I thought it might be a good time to do a little crash course on who we are and what we are doing here.
We started xoJane.com a little over a year ago (god, time doesn't fly at all). I came from Sassy magazine and Jane magazine and this is basically a repeat of my one good idea -- media that treats women/people with respect and has a blast doing it.

A big part of that is telling our personal stories about political issues. Which means you get to know A LOT about us as you go along. Here are some of the best examples I can think of in xoJane's short and storied past:
