I have never made New Year's resolutions and also enjoy not doing what one is expected to do on certain days (movies or dinner alone on Valentine's! staying in and not watching the ball drop on New Year's!) -- not to be rebellious but just to live according to what I feel like doing as opposed to the calendar.
Anyway, this is what I just saw on the way to yoga, where it is PACKED today. And I did, instead of a NY Resolution, think of three things I'm so grateful for from 2011 and three things I want to let go of for 2012. Right after doing this mental exercise, I was confronted head-on by one of the things it would be healthier for me to let go of. And I felt like I'd already let it go. It was awesome, even if I am being vague and didn't explain it well here (and even if I overuse 'awesome').
What are you grateful for and what do you want to let go of? Relationships, habits, ways of treating yourself. I will tell you mine if you feel like sharing yours with me.
