In-Person Friend or xoJane Friend?

I get more and more of these emails lately and they make my days. It always takes me a while to figure out if it is a childhood friend, a former co-worker or one of you who knows me through this website. The lines are so blurry that I actually can't see them anymore (I also don't wear my glasses as often as I should, so there's that). Someone wrote that I make you feel as though you are my friends, but it's not that: you really are. You're here for me and I'm here for you and I will never lie to or mislead you. I don't want to speak for the other xoJane staffers and contributors, so I'm keeping this first-person, but I think they feel pretty much the same way.

Some folks may feel this is part of a sick virtual reality we as a society are allowing to take over, and I get that. It is important to be where you are and with whom you are physically with, of course, but I live this, love it, love and appreciate you and the technology that allows it. Ok, that's my mushy Tuesday am touchscreen rambling. Xo always
