I understand that that's a compelling opening line. Good job, writer!
However, it has been so long since I've had sex (monogamous with boyfriend who lives 3000 miles away, for those of you who are just tuning in) that I wasn't even sure of the answer to the question and feel like I don't even miss it. Has that ever happened to you?
My body must miss physical touch, though. I was with someone this past weekend who is deaf and losing his eyesight and his friend was showing me how he will continue to communicate as he becomes blind (by putting his hand lightly on one hand of the person signing to him) and the friend mentioned how important the sense of touch is.
I believe that touch is important, though I pretend that I don't need it. (Remember when Dr. Drew told me that I need lots of hugs? You don't? No problem.) And then I find myself (last night) asking Charlotte (9-year-old daughter) to please give me another lice check. She sweetly complies.
So, do you like sex? Lice checks? Both? And anything else you want to use this space to talk about -- I love to hear. xo
