You know how annoying it is when people ask you as a child "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and you don't know the answer? The only thing worse than that question is "What are you going to do when you graduate?" when you have no idea.
I'm a senior in college as an English major with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies. My grades are solid, I'm driven and my resume doesn't look too bad. I am passionate about a lot of things. However...I have no idea what I can do with my passions. Seriously, when people ask me what I want to be, the only thing I want to say is "A feminist". Yes, obviously that's not exactly a job, and I'll be a feminist forever, but women's issues are my passion. I love pop culture, writing, and social issues and I'm very passionate about ED, sizeism, reproductive rights, trans issues as well as any LGBTQIA issues. In an ideal world, I would probably try and write for a feminist publication, but how likely is that? (Not that I'm giving up, but I'm just saying...it's not easy by any means to succeed in that field, much less enter it successfully).
Can anyone think of fields or jobs that actually exist in which I can do what I'm passionate about? This might sound silly, but I just need a list of things I can investigate. I'm not looking for something that's easy, or something that will make me a millionaire, but I just don't really know what my options are.
