Unicorns: They're not just for enchanted forests anymore! Here's how to do some interior decorating that's downright MAGICAL.

Are the little girls of today as into unicorns as those of us growing up in the 80s were? I wanted unicorns to be real SO BADLY when I was a kid. My parents even took us to see the "unicorn" at the circus, which scarred me for life since he turned out to be a sad-looking goat with a mutated horn. Ugh.

Even so, my love of unicorns has remained. After all, who doesn't need a magical spirit animal to project their hopes and dreams on? Most days, mine is a tree sloth, but at my best I'm a unicorn all the way. Here are some fun items I found that will help bring a touch of one-horned nostalgia to your home.

Wood Unicorn Coasters ($16  by Debbka): Keep water rings off your furniture with these super intensely girly coasters, featuring not one, but TWO unicorns -- PLUS colorfully striped hot air balloons and tons of flowers. The land depicted here is like my own personal "72 Virgins" paradise.

"Dancing Unicorns" Original Papercut ($50 from OnTheRebound) This piece is more mellow, but I still love it. It's a subtler way to work unicorns into your home. This is a framed and ready-to-hang piece of "scherenschnitte" by Pamela Dalton. That means "scissor cuts" in German. See how the power of unicorns has already made us smarter?

Vintage Unicorn Bowl ($25, stardustBijoux): This circa-1950s bowl from India is so pretty to me! I would put this on top of my dresser to hold bangle bracelets or lipsticks or used syringes or something. Love the scalloped gold details, which are made from REAL melted-down unicorn horns. (Disclaimer: May or may not contain actual unicorn.)

Pastel Unicorn Voltron Print ($12 from Line Draw): Unicorns AND Voltrons AND pastel colors? This is a team-up I can completely get behind. He has unicorn horns on his feet. HIS FEET!

I F'd a Unicorn Wall Hanging ($12 from That's Amazeballs): I think you'd have to be really fond of unicorns to hang this mofo up. Looking at it makes me feel weird, and maybe a little scared. Hold me!!!
