These recipes should be prepared while wearing a silky little robe and your best bedhead.

This is the most obvious statement I've ever made, but I really enjoy talking about food. I enjoy eating it, preparing it, and writing about it. I enjoy thinking about it. Based on the comments I've read on some of the xoFood articles, I know some of you feel similarly.

And I know you've got to have some good recipes.

The fashion types have Outfit of the Week, which I enjoy browsing, but it's rare that I have anything to contribute. Comment of the Week is always fun, but very broad in scope. What I want is a place for the food-enthusiastic to talk about their favorite meals and recipes. Why not have "Recipe of the Week"?

So we're testing it out. If you all like it and it goes well, it could become a regular thing.

Here is how it will work. Each week, I will give you a very specific recipe category like "The Side Dish You Bring to a Dinner Party When You're Worried About There Not Being Anything You Can Eat." Anyone who wishes to participate can then leave their recipe in the comments and up-vote recipes that sound good to them. I will then make and taste the most up-voted recipe and include lots of photos and commentary and make you a little virtual trophy.

It will hopefully be lots of fun.

You probably already figured out this week’s theme (it’s in the headline), but I want your best breakfast recipes for the morning after a night of good sexing.

To be clear: this recipe is for a truly great booty call. This is for someone who you would like to have stay over again. This is not the cup of coffee you hand Brian so he will quit playing “Blackbird” on your guitar and just fucking leave already. This is for someone you would like to linger. This is for a man or woman that you at least like a whole lot. But let me stress that this also isn't the Pinterest-found egg muffin you heat up for your live-in partner so they have something to eat on their daily commute.

This is not the breakfast I'm looking for.

This is not the breakfast I'm looking for.

It should have a bit of a wow factor, a bit of romance.

And what says "romance" like a doughnut sausage sandwich?

And what says "romance" like a doughnut sausage sandwich?

The recipes in this comments section should be designed to be leisurely consumed over the course of a late morning or early afternoon. They should be prepared while wearing a silky little robe and your best bedhead. They should be filling and slightly decadent, but not so rich that any thoughts of further sexy times are banished from your brain. (So maybe my sandwich isn't the best example.)

Now that you have a good concept of what I’m looking for here, let’s go over a few guidelines:

  1. Please provide specific instructions and measurements, or at least very good descriptions like “enough milk to form a paste” or something like that. Don’t just write “baked eggs with cream.” Tell me how much cream and how long you bake them for.
  2. You are of course free to share someone else’s recipe, just make sure you credit it to them and let me know what adaptations (if any) were made.
  3. If the most up-voted comment is not a recipe (I cannot cook a gif) I will make the second most up-voted comment. I will probably still mention your comment though.

Alright. That’s pretty much it. Impress me.  And, if you like the idea of this becoming a weekly series, be sure to share it with your friends.
