Backstage at the shows, editors and writers are herded together to interview lead makeup artists and hairstylists. We all shove our recording devices forward and just stare. Easy enough, right? Not with a face like mine.
Lucia: The Inspiration is stone angels, it's all about chruches, ceilings of churches, gothic amazing churches, it's quite structured, so we wanted to do something quite structured, but incredibly simple at the same time. The distinguished thing about it is they have these amazing eyebrows that are kind of long and wide, and reflect the hair. It's like they're the falling angles and they're going like that (mimics falling face first). So that's the main thing--god, you look really bored (she says to me).
Me: No, I just have a bad face, I promise. It's my face.
L: That's funny, you're like me, I'm always like that.
Me: I get it all the time, people are like "you're such a bitch."
L: No, you don't look like a bitch; you look like "please get me out of here."
Me: No, I'm loving this, I promise. Actually, I'm thinking about your Isabel Marant shoes.
L: Really? Thank you.
