There once was a time when I only wore sexy heels and I could not get on the flats train.
That quickly came to a halt when one day after stomping through NYC, I almost broke my neck while stepping in a sidewalk crack. Not cute. Immediately after that embarrassing stunt, I decided I was going to start saving my feet from mass destruction and hop on the flats train. With the wide variety of looks, I was on a mission to style these comfy options in the sexiest of ways.
I love slides, otherwise known as mules. They have made a major comeback in Spring and are continuing into Fall. They come with studs, tassels, and pom poms, so there’s definitely an option for everyone.
I chose a red leather slide to add a pop of color to my pretty classic white button up and denim look. To up my game even more, I threw on my distressed cropped jeans. I love the slight flare on the bottoms. Go grab yourself a pair, stat!
If you’re more of a classic girl and can’t get enough of ballet flats then look 2 is your jam! Fall is the perfect time to pair your cute dresses with flats because it’s not too cold to show some leg. Shirt-dresses are classic, and everyone has them. I chose a blue option with peekaboo details. It adds even more sexy to my pretty simple look.
Don’t get stuck in a basic flat rut. Upgrade plain flats to ones with strappy details and embellished buckles. It’s an easy way to enhance an already feminine outfit.
Give your chic office attire some casual touches. I like to call it a new take on the casual Friday get up. And yes, sneakers are winning right now! So don’t be afraid to be bold when wearing them. A classic pair of Adidas are not just for your jeans and t-shirt days. Pairing them with a pencil skirt, graphic tee and an edgy trench hits the mark.
I’m not saying to retire your heels. I still love stepping out in a slinky dress with a 4” pump, but don’t be afraid to switch things up. Sometimes you can give your toes a break and stay comfy and sexy!
