[It's funny how famous Charlie Sheen is now because I definitely didn't forsee this one. He was the only "celebrity" we could get at the last minute for Sassy's August 1989 issue. I liked to have one two-page celebrity story in every issue and this is who we got.
Take it away, Christina. ]  "Early in the year when that whole thing with Charlie Sheen was blowing up, my friend Maureen said, "I was thinking about you and the interview you did with Charlie Sheen for Sassy." And I said, "I didn't interview Charlie Sheen." But then she jogged my memory, about how he was not very nice, and she kind of described the picture and I had a vague memory of meeting him for an interview in a conference room. I couldn't have cared less about him. Back then would have wanted Emilio Estevez, not Charlie Sheen."

You know that creepy long-haired drug dealer (with a heart) in Pulp Fiction who refuses to stab Uma Thurman in the chest? Yeah, this is him. Eric Stoltz... swoon. [He came up to the pink Sassy offices at 1 Times Square one time and we were all so in love with him we could hardly stand it. But we were in love with him from Some Kind of Wonderful with the amazing Mary Stuart Masterson. ]

Baby Gwynnie. What a cute, cool lady-- I like her idea! [Who would have known that more than a quarter century later we could be friends and have kids the same age that played nicely together? P.S. Call me  a name-dropper if you like! ]

Oh Harry, how your voice has grown on us so. [I remember thinking he was a little too old to be "One To Watch "because our demographic was 14-19. I think we may have lied about his age a little bit, downward. He was more a crooner than our usual type]

Not even "One to Watch" ... just a dude along with five others (we zoomed in on him), talking about his love life (answering whether they would date older women). Also-- he seems to be a redhead here, no? 

Lil' baby Lenny. The baby girl they refer here to is now famous in her own right, the 22-year old Zoë.
