Dear Hollywood, Please Work Mindy Kaling Into The Ground

In a good way, of course.

Dear Hollywood,

I'm concerned that Mindy Kaling doesn't work enough. Mindy may feel differently, so let me explain: I know she's gainfully employed, and she may even go to an actual office every day to write for "The Office," but my gripe here is that I don't see enough of her.

Why are you hiding her, Hollywood?

On a recent flight I was psyched to see that one of my movie options was "No Strings Attached." I knew Mindy was in it, and I naively thought she might have co-written it. And she was, but barely, and she hadn't.

As Kelly Kapoor, she's "The Office"'s secret weapon -- everything instantly gets funnier when she's on-screen. Like the time Kelly was considered for a minority career development program called "Print In All Colors," and even though she's basically Scranton's biggest Valley Girl, she shows up to the interview in a sari.

And now that "The Office" season is over -- for which she was never given enough screen time, anyway -- what's a Mindy Kaling fan to do?

Wait for her book, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns), the release of which was cruelly pushed back to November 1st??? (You can pre-order it on Amazon right now.)

She is ready for a major movie breakout role and I want that girl to werk, as Brad Goreski might say.

In the meantime I offer you this to watch:

She's ready to be the lead in films, walk the red carpet of her own premieres, date many of your town's finest male movie stars and still not change a bit.

Who's with me on this?

Thank you for listening, Hollywood.

Best regards,

Anya
