Ever since Amy wrote about cool things to do with vintage clip-on earrings, I haven't been able to stop thinking about them. I've come across a few similar styles lately, maybe big stud earrings should have a comeback! I feel like there's something really amazing about wearing plain ol' jeans and a t-shirt and then BAM you have a giant faux coral hanging from your ear. Think about it! Here are the cutest–and cheapest–way to indulge in this mini-trend that isn't really a trend but I think it should be.
Octagonal Faceted Stone Stud Earrings $10.34, ASOS
A faceted black stone trimmed in gold seems so soap-opera villain! It's sort of adult goth but with sassier than anything else. To be worn with multiple black layers (and the pre-requisite Alexander Wang).
Blue Heart Stud $18, Rachel Roy
LOVE Rachel Roy's super cute geometric heart studs with a lil' diamond in the middle. Perfect to wear everyday with jeans and your casual wear.
Crackle Bead Surround Stud $20, Topshop
This Topshop pair is very vintage-looking, generally I recommend just buying vintage if you want vintage-looking, but for $20 bucks I say these are all alright. I imagine these with floral printed dresses or perhaps some linen pant & chambray shirt action.
I love the weirdly antique Roman feel in these earrings while at the same time there are heavy 90's Versace vibes emanating from them. Rock them with a post-tan white dress and gold shoes for a total decadent look that's still totally easy-going.
