Since I returned to Singapore, my office had a big move. We relocated to the heart of Orchard Road in Singapore, which is highly convenient for my colleagues and me when it comes to lunch and shopping options, but unfortunately, our permanent space that we’re supposed to move into isn’t ready yet.

Instead, we’ve all been plonked in a workspace that is not only devoid of any windows or sunlight, it has vents with holes in them, carpets with suspicious stains on them, and a complete lack of ventilation.

If I didn’t know better, I'd think somebody is trying to kill us.

Of course, with my billion-and-a-half allergies, I have been complaining about the space more than anyone else. I’m convinced that nobody has vacuumed or cleaned the place in 20 years, which is why my eyes get itchy the moment I step in and I end up with swollen eyes every single night. My colleagues' eczema has been acting up too, and another colleague got hives.

It’s not fun.

I’ve been trying to make the situation better for me until we move to our permanent space in February. It includes disinfecting my desk on an almost-daily basis, and to my delight, I found the most adorable humidifier in the shape of a donut.

I admit I was a little skeptical. Can something that tiny help?

Turns out it does. All I have to do is put it in a mug of water and plug the device into my USB port, and I’m set.

I pour a little bit of my favourite Hadanomy Collagen Mist into the water and it plumps up my skin even more.

It doesn’t help my eyes, of course. They’re still incredibly itchy. But at least my skin looks great?

Twenty more days before we move. Wish me luck!
