I basically called my mom for help. Except when I say mom, I mean an esthetician.
The Korean beauty industry has gained many fans here in the U.S. and abroad. After hearing so many people rave about their success with Korean beauty products, I decided to try a whole host of products on my own.
After a couple of months of use, five of these products have really stood out to me.
I’m familiar with the Skin Food brand already since I’ve been using their Peach Sake Pore Serum for quite a while. I decided to try this product more recently to see if their hair care was as impressive as their skin care. With humidity on the rise here in Kansas, I’ve been grateful for this product's ability to control frizziness without weighing my fine curls down. It also makes detangling a breeze!
I’d be lying if I said the packaging of this lipstick didn’t heavily influence my purchase. Thankfully, in addition to looking adorable on my makeup table, this lipstick also performs well. I’ve been stocking up on sheerer formulas for summer, and this one applies smoothly and evenly, and leaves a beautiful wash of color.
What I love about this ampoule is that I immediately felt an added plumpness to my skin when I first used it. Over the last couple months of daily use, I’ve noticed that the skin on my face, especially around my eyes and cheeks, looks and feels suppler.
This cleansing balm does an excellent job of breaking up my makeup as a first step before I use my normal cleanser. It’s gentle, leaves my skin feeling soft, and isn’t as greasy as some other oil cleansers I’ve tried.
I have never been a big fan of toner because I don’t like how astringent it is. This one, however, is formulated with argan oil as well, so I don’t get that tight, dry feeling afterwards, and it doesn’t sting my face.
