8 Products I Used Every Last Drop of Because They're Just That Good

10/10 — would buy again.

Running out of your favourite product is always bittersweet. It's a good indication that you've found something that actually works, but parting with your hard-earned cash is never fun. At least when you find a sure thing, you know the purchase is worth it, making the exchange a little easier.

Here are some products I've used to the very last drop, and why I love them so much.

Bumble and bumble Surf Spray

This salt spray isn't cheap — one bottle will set you back almost 30 bucks — but I was super-curious as to how this cult product would stand up. I have to say, after finishing this bottle, I picked up a drugstore salt spray and was left instantly craving a new bottle of Bumble and bumble. I know it sounds cliche when people talk about cult products, but damn, did this one meet my expectations!

Benefit Watt's Up!

I find a lot of highlighters don't have enough shine, or really suck at staying put. That isn't the case with Watt's Up, and it absolutely contributes to the fact that this is my all time favourite highlighter. It comes in an easy-to-use stick, stays put and makes my cheekbones gleam like nothing else. I've been using this product for years and will always have a stick in my makeup bag. Definitely my HG highlighter.

Boscia Self-Defense Vital Antioxidant Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30

This is the best SPF moisturizer combo I have ever used! Hands down. After finishing my first tube, I picked up drugstore moisturizer and it felt more like slapping Elmer's glue on my face. I do wish there was more product in this little pump, but what is in there is gold. LIQUID. GOLD. If you have oily or combo skin and want great SPF coverage, test-run this little guy out. It's going to be perfect for summer.

Tata Harper Moisturizing Mask

Cons? Smells like pretty potent mushrooms. Pros? Everything else. I have yet to come across an overnight mask that works as well as this. I absolutely love that it comes in a pump, being the germaphobe that I am, and the packaging always cheers me up. I just cleanse my skin and apply two or three pumps on my face and neck. Boom. You wake up with the dewiest, fastest-healing skin of all time. If I was listing off a sure thing to a friend who wanted recs, this would be one of them. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Definitely.

Davines Melu Shampoo

I only sing the highest praises for Davines products, and for good reason. I have yet to come across better haircare products — simple as that. Melu Shampoo is a super-creamy, sudsy dream, especially for dry, damaged hair like mine. It has a light, beautiful scent and leaves my hair clean but not stripped. You only need a tiny amount and it foams up like crazy, so don't worry about going through that bottle too quickly. I credit this shampoo with helping completely rebuild my hair, and leaving me with hair that feels like actual hair again.

Davines NaturalTech Nourishing Shampoo

My all time favourite hair guru, Amanda at Blyss, handed me a bottle of this after rescuing my hair from yellow banding and seriously grown-out roots. She told me to rotate using this and Melu to help strengthen my damaged hair. Like Melu, this stuff is all about the suds, and it has travelled with me to three different apartments. That's code for "a little goes a long way." It smells great, and the package design is kind of awesome, too.

Now Solutions Avocado Oil

I wrote about my love for Now Solutions oils a while back and still pick up bottles on the regular.I mean, these oils are good for everything. I apply whatever oil I have on hand to patches of dry skin in the winter, as a super-moisturizing cleanser with my Clarisonic, and even as makeup remover. Mix it with sugar for a DIY lip scrub. You really can do anything with these perfect products as a base.

Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel

I picked up a bottle of this last summer when I made an attempt at achieving January Jones' flawless complexion. If you recall, it involved a lot of really expensive products, and surprisingly, this affordable one. I picked this up at Shoppers Drug Mart (shout-out to the amazing sales lady who pointed me towards this extra-large bottle) and never expected it to become such a regular in my skincare routine. This is the longest-lasting, most reliable cleanser I've come across. It's what I always come back to if my skin freaks out, and I see myself repurchasing this for years to come.
