It's gonna get sappy up in here.
Of the oodles — oodles, I say! — of products that landed on my desk last week, none of them are what I need most right now: something to put on the gnarly curling wand burn I got on my wrist this morning. Does anyone make a product that a) makes it stop hurting, b) reduces the redness, c) prevents the scar I swear I can already see starting to develop, and d) makes me stop whining about the burn?
Although none of last week's arrivals fit the bill, I have a feeling that you'll be interested in what a lot of them can do. So since this is the biggest Best Beauty Sh!t roundup thus far, let's stop dilly-dallying and get to the goodies.

Anna Sui Limited Edition Makeup Palette
One of my favorite things about working in Anna Sui's Soho store over a decade ago was the dark yet romantic vibe she has always stayed true to. This palette is a perfect, portable example of that. In fact, just the case alone is an example, and you buy it separately from its customizable contents. (Hell, for $10, I'd buy it just to carry around things like hair ties and safety pins.)

My particular palette contains a variety of beautifully embossed Eye & Face Colors, as well as a glossy pink Lip & Face Color.

Anna Sui Romantica Exotica Eau de Toilette
I was actually really surprised to see this latest Anna Sui fragrance — I've never thought of her fashion or beauty style as even remotely tropical. And yet, this EDT hit the nail on its island-y head. It starts out with top notes of lemon, grapefruit and blackcurrant, develops with jasmine, lotus and neroli, and bottoms out (totally a fragrance term, right?) with sandalwood, gardenia and cottonwood.

Caress Pure Embrace Silkening Body Wash
I have to admit, the main reason I'm excited about this $4 body wash isn't the promise of "silkening" (though, sure, silken me up) as much as it's the fragrance, "White Flowers & Almond Oil." Two of my favorite things to smell! I don't mind that it's spiked with some fruity and musky notes, too.

A "nail surface enhancer" may sound like a thing no one would ever need, but if you've ever dealt with uneven, dented, bumpy nail beds, you know how crappy polish application can look. This not only gives you a smoother surface to paint on, it also uses its slight tint to camouflage discoloration.

Color Wow Cocktails
Color-treated hair has bonding issues, apparently, and the best solution is cocktails. Sadly, not drinkable ones. These are basically liquid supplements you pour on your towel-dried head to help reverse chemical damage. I love how each one sounds increasingly unappealing to drink: Coconut Cocktail, Kale Cocktail, Carb Cocktail.

Fairy Tales Curly-Q Hydrating Shampoo, Hydrating Conditioner, and Styling Spray Gel
Dead serious: one of the most recent pitches I got about these products was framed as how to get North West's naturally curly look. I don't get too many toddler-beauty pitches, but at least these are made for kids. That said, I will probably send them to Rachel because of her curly hair and love for North West.

It's hard enough to get some of you to use sunscreen to protect yourself from UV light, but did you know you have to worry about HEV light, too? That's high-energy visible light coming off of your device screens (namely, blue light). Turns out it can contribute to premature skin aging by penetrating even deeper than the sun's death rays. This tinted liquid was made to protect your face from your laptop and smartphone. It's not sunscreen — it's screenscreen.

The Collection Nails by Kiss
Don't have the time get nail art done by a super-talented nail artist whose contact info you don't have anyway? You're in luck! Even if you're not yet totally onboard with press-on nails, the new designs in the Kiss Collection might change your mind because they're way more on-trend than the press-on nails you might picture. (Remember those patriotic ones I tried on? Not exactly subtle.)

Lano Lips 101 Ointment Multi-Balm Fruities
SUCKER FOR PACKAGING ALERT. This Australian lip balm duo, in strawberry and peach, will be sold as a very limited-edition set (like, 1,000) on Net-a-Porter starting October 15. Both made with cruelty-free lanolin, the strawberry version also contains AHA, and is already available at Ulta.

Lip Smacker Disney Tsum Tsum Lip Balms
The adorable lip balm parade continues! I mean, would you look at these? Lip Smacker teamed with Disney to turn their Japanese Tsum Tsum plush toys into the cutest little stackable balms with packaging in the stylized shape of recognizable Disney characters. Here, for example, are Donald Duck, Dumbo, Marie (from The Aristocats), and Tigger.

Here's what's inside the Tsum Tsum packaging. Cute shape, right? This one is Dumbo's and it has a pretty intense peanut butter scent (with a matching peanut-butter-esque color that doesn't transfer to your lips). Tigger smells like bubble gum, Marie smells like pear, and Donald smells like "Jelly Quackers," whatever the hell that is.

L'Oréal Voluminous Feline Mascara
Intended as the perfect complement to cat-eye liner, this new $8 mascara is focused on density. It's a glossy formula that bulks up each lash without a clumpy, spidery look (it's feline, not arachnid).

Here's a closeup of the brush. If it looks a little green, that's just because that's the color of the rubbery bristles. The mascara itself comes in black, black-brown, blackest black, and blackety-black-don't-talk-back. (Just kidding about the last one.)

OPI Breakfast at Tiffany's Collection
October marks the 55th anniversary of the iconic Audrey Hepburn film Breakfast at Tiffany's, and it also marks the release of an OPI collection in its honor. Pictured here are the most Tiffany-blue shades of the bunch, I Believe in Manicures, in Nail Lacquer and Infinite Shine.

Here are swatches of all the Nail Lacquers in the Breakfast at Tiffany's collection/how I'm going to scratch my dog's back later. (Zoom in to see the names more clearly.)

And here are the Infinite Shine shades — all different from the Nail Lacquer shades except the aforementioned I Believe in Manicures.

Farmhouse Fresh Shea Butter Soaps
I know there's nothing groundbreaking about a bar soap, but I sure do love a good chunk of yummy-smelling cleanser. #teambarsoap

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Cleansing Oil
You may be familiar with Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate, but did you know there's a cleansing oil, too? Made to be used at night — or whenever you're removing your makeup — it transforms from cleansing oil to cleansing milk, breaking up all the cosmetic crap on your face and leaving it super-hydrated.

vbeauté Deep Sheet Charcoal Mask
Bless the punster who came up with this mask's name. And bless science for making carbon and collagen — the main ingredients — so damn beautifying.
I already have stuff piling up for next week, and it's only Monday!
Which of these are you most excited to try? Or perhaps you've already tried a few? Tell me what's on your product wish list right now!
