How To Pumpkin Spice Your Face With Makeup

#TeamBasic

OK, let’s get this out of the way: I love cardigans, booties, scarves, and pumpkin spice lattes/frappuccinos. But if loving fall and PSLs makes me basic, then I don’t want to be right. xoVain managing editor April noticed my love of pumpkin spice via my Instagram and challenged me to bring the fall beverage to life--on my face.

Challenge accepted.

As per usual, I started with fully done foundation, eyelid primer, and brows.

PUMPKIN: The Real Stuff & The Bux Stuff

To get the kind of burnt orange of the pumpkin spice syrup, I applied Milani Bella Eyes Shadow in Bella Copper to my mobile lid.

To give this a little more dimension and some of that true pumpkin orange, I used my finger to add some Colour Pop Pressed Pigment in the shade Sunnies to just the center of that mobile eyelid area.

CINNAMON: Just A Touch In The Crease

To add a little ground cinnamon to the mix, I took the Milani Bella Eyes Shadow in Bella Bronze to the crease with a small eye contour brush.

WHIPPED CREAM: For Highlighting, Naturally

To give that yummy whipped cream a little representation, I took the Milani Bella Eyes Shadow in Bella white and highlighted the brow bone and inner tear duct area. I felt like this look needed a little more cinnamon so (drawing inspiration from my cinnamon sticks) I added a little bit of the Sable shadow from my Lorac Pro Palette from the crease to just below the brow bone to blend everything out.

ESPRESSO: Shot Along The Upper & Lower Lash Lines

We can’t have a latte without some espresso, so I lined my upper and lower lash line with a creamy brown pencil liner and smudged it out with the shade Espresso from my Lorac Pro Palette. I finished the eyes by adding a couple coats of mascara to both the top and lower lashes for a more lush effect.

To complete the look you can go bold on the lips and bring a little fall leaf inspiration into play by mixing some coral, red, and gold lipstick together (I used Glo Minerals Lipstick in Siren, NYX Round Lipstick in Electra, and Shea Moisture Lipstick Crayon in Christine.

Or you can keep it classic by sticking to a neutral shade on the lips like Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Touch of Spice.
