Since I'm a visual person I hardly ever remember the album title but I just remember what the album art looks like.
Pale pinks and pastels are a perennial spring trend, but I tend to favor bolder shades when it comes to lipstick. Right now that means seeking out the most flattering, perfectly formulated shades of hot pink. Today I've rounded up a few favorites that fit into any beauty budget.
NYX Intense Butter Gloss In Funnel Delight ($5.99)
I've been in love with NYX Butter Gloss for a minute now, so I was super excited about the pumped up pigments in the Intense range. They still have the same creamy feel and you get full color payoff with one swipe.
Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick In Mesmerizing Magenta ($7.99)
I was obsessed with matte lips all winter and the obsession continues with this shade. We've raved about this matte formula before; it's so comfortable on the lips! And I love that it's a kind of muted hot pink.
MAC Lipstick In Girl About Town ($16)
This is like an ultra-creamy version of my favorite MAC Retro Matte Lipstick (Flat Out Fabulous). I love the feel of it on my lips; it's a cool toned pink and it lasts decently throughout the day, although not as well as matte lipstick.
Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick In Ladyflower ($22)
As the name would indicate, this formula is on the sheer side (although it can be built up to be darker). I am in LOVE with the way this feels on the lips. It’s very comfortable and almost balm-like, but not too slippery.
Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense In 36 ($25)
I fell in love with the Rouge Artist Intense formula when I first tried it in a black shade a while back. It applies extremely smoothly and it's easily the most pigmented of all of the lipsticks featured here today. It's also very long lasting: I only had to reapply once throughout the day, and it even leaves a nice wash of color when it fades.
