LOTW: Create an Iridescent Illusion with Electric Jewel Tones

I love playing with bold colors! But you'll need a classic soft brown for this look, too.

After last week’s Look Of The Week, I realized that it had been a while since I really played around with bolder shadows. I had so much fun with it that I decided to break out of my comfort zone again this week to bring you an eye look that is bright and bold using my Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette!

After priming my eyelids I take the shade Urban (a deep, vibrant purple) and pat it on the outer and inner V of my eyes and in the crease, leaving a space in the center open.

Next, I take my fluffy blending brush and a soft warm brown shadow (I used ES13 from Morphe) and blend the purple in the crease up just a bit.

Once that’s blended I add a little shimmery ivory shadow (ES4 from Morphe) to the brow bone to highlight, and then pat Fringe from the Electric palette into that blank space in the center.

With some gel liner and an angled liner brush I create a cat eye on my upper lash line and fill in my brows. After I've done this, I clean up any fallout with a makeup remover wipe and sharpen my shadow into a winged shape. I also added foundation and concealer.

With a dark blue liner, I line my lower lash line and then smudge that line out with a Q-tip and the shade Fringe.

I make sure to generously coat both my upper and lower lashes with mascara and use that ivory shadow again to highlight the inner corners of my eyes.

A soft pink blush and neutral lip finish the look off.

Here are my three favorite looks from last week:
