Since I'm a visual person I hardly ever remember the album title but I just remember what the album art looks like.
There are quite a few different ways to do this, but I’ve found two that seem to work especially well for me.
With Your Fingers
Step 1: I dip my pinky finger into my cream shadow (it’s my smallest finger and seems to be just the right size) and smudge the first color across my mobile lid, right up to the crease.
Step 2: After I clean off my pinky, I use it again to add a darker color into the crease. With this step, it’s important to take your time and layer as you go so you don’t get too much color all at once.
Step 3: I take a transition shade and use my ring finger to smudge and blend the crease out.
With a Brush
Step 1: I use a small flat shader brush to dip into my cream shadow and apply the first color by sweeping it across the lid, going back over the lid with the clean side of the brush to smooth it out.
Step 2: I wipe the residual shadow off the shader brush and use it to apply my darker shade into the crease, running the brush back and forth over it to blend it a bit.
Step 3: I actually use my finger for this part and do the same thing I did for step 3 of the previous method.
Step 4: I take a clean, fluffy blending brush and sweep back and forth over everything gently to eliminate any harsh lines.
- Do you like to layer cream eyeshadows or do you stick with one shade all over the lid?
- Are you Team Brush or Team Fingers when it comes to cream shadow application?
