I don’t get the chance to go full glam very often, but when the opportunity arises, I use it to branch out and do something new (to me, at least!) and dramatic. For winter nights out, I can't think of anything more dramatic than a layered, blue-on-blue winged eye and bright berry lips. Here's how to get the look!

STEP 1: Prime and shine

I start by priming my lids with e.l.f. Eyelid Primer (eyelid primer is a must if you want your shadow to outlast the night). Next I lightly dust the shade Beige from my Lorac Pro 2 Palette from my crease up to my brow bone. I did this to create a subtle wash of shimmer, and to make the other shadows I used appear more seamless.

STEP 2: Draw the base for your wing.

I typically go for super blended looks, so I wanted to switch it up and create something with a pronounced wing shape. In order to create a base for my design, I used the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk to draw out a winged shape, filling it in completely.

STEP 3: Layer your blues and define your wing.

Next I used my pinky to pat ColourPop Eye Shadow in Krinkle all over the mobile lid. I filled in the rest of my wing shape with L’Oréal Infallible 24HR Eye Shadow in Midnight Blue, starting at the crease using an e.l.f. Eye Crease Brush.

Once all the shadows were built up to the opacity that I wanted, I took a baby wipe and sharpened the edges of my wing shape, making sure to sculpt it correctly and clean up any shadow fallout.

STEP 5: Liquid liner and mascara.

To add more definition to my eyes, I drew a liner wing on my upper lash line and traced my lower lash line using the L’ Oréal Infallible Lacquer Liner 24HR in Navy and set the liner with the same Midnight Blue shade I used earlier.

If you like false lashes, now would be the time to put them on; most of the time I can’t be bothered with them, though, so I just added a couple of coats of my beloved CK One Color Mascara.

STEP 6: Highlight and blush.

For a little added glitz, I highlighted the high points of my cheeks and Cupid’s bow with the NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in the shade Gleam (if you have fair skin I would recommend the shade Sunbeam) and applied a blush with a bit of shimmer to it (Milani Baked Powder Blush in Berry Amore). I then applied a deep raspberry lipstick to my lips for added drama.
