Oh, don't pretend like you don't have one!
Some of you may look to Cara Delevingne or Natalie Portman for eyebrow inspiration, but when it comes to the caterpillars on my face, I turn to Champagne Papi (that’s Drizzy Drake if you don’t follow him on Instagram).
I’m not sure what it is, but there’s something about those hairy creatures he’s constantly getting teased about that are just so damn cute. I’ll admit, he probably has more hair on his eyebrows than I have on both my arms--and I have some hairy arms (more about that in an upcoming story)--but I still want that level of density on my face!
This is why I need your help in meeting my goal. So far, I haven’t done anything to shape or groom them, and have been walking around looking like Cookie Monster for the last couple of months.
I’ve never had my brows threaded, and I haven’t had them waxed in more than two years. Back then, I didn’t have a brow-spiration. I just knew I didn’t want to fall victim to those drawn-on-looking shapes. But I still made sure I tweezed them whenever they got out of control.
It wasn’t until a few months ago while stalking Drake’s Instagram when I decided why he’s so gorgeous: Aside from that adorable smile, it’s those bushy brows. Call me crazy, but I’m serious. So serious that when I mentioned my eyebrow desire to Rihanna’s makeup artist in a nationwide Teen Vogue video, she called me out.
So, I ask you xoVain readers: What are your no-fail brow-growing-out tips? How can I stop myself from over-tweezing them during the Drake-i-fication process? What kind of brow products must I add into my regimen? And lastly, do you have Drake’s number? I just want to ask him some questions.
