Sarah Santiago grew up in Champaign, Illinois cheering on the Fighting Illini. When she was ten years old she went to Camp Ak-o-mak in Canada for 7 weeks where she learned to be independent and tough. She plans to write a book or possibly a series for tween girls based on this unique experience. As a teenager she and her family moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she attended The Bolles School and also Jacksonville Episcopal High School. Upon graduating, she attended Rollins College in Winter Park, FL where she received a BA in Elementary Education, even though what she really wanted was a degree in Writing. Sarah has been a competitive swimmer since age four, and still tries to get to the pool when she can. She now lives in North Carolina with her adventurous five year old and devilishly handsome fiancé. You can check out her blog and her growing portfolio.
