Madeline Felix lives, writes, and gets by in New York City. The recipient of fellowships from the U.S. Fulbright Association and Columbia University’s MFA Writing program, she is currently at work on a book about the year she lived in Vietnam. Her writing has appeared in Guernica, Huffpost Travel, Ploughshares (online), Pennsylvania Game News, and others.
In high school, she bought an issue of Jane Magazine at the grocery store, but her grandmother took it away because it had the word "sex" on the cover.
