After several years of working as a make-up artist on various publications including Dazed & Confused, The Face and Attitude (there was also lots of z-list sleb work and boring biscuit commercials which the less said about, the better!), I now write Make Up to Make Out, do the occasional freelance piece and also DJ.
Age: Not as old I as look, unfortunately (however I do look 12)..
What I do, job-wise: I spend an embarrassingly large amount of time taking pictures of myself, in the name of “work”. I sometimes also inflict my music taste on people, when I’m lucky. In-between them both I write.
What I do, fun-wise: Drinking all day in hidden away old man pubs, going for Sunday roasts, getting into places for free, attending gigs, festivals, launches, openings of envelopes and watching horror films in bed. Oh, and lots of shopping.
My motto: It’s never too late to be what you might have been.
My anti-motto: The early bird catches the worm!
The first movie star I ever had a crush on: Andrew McCarthy in Pretty in Pink. Eighties Andrew still does it for me.
My “celebs to make out with” list: Josh Hartnett, Keith Murray, Evan Dando, Eddie Vedder, Jordan Catalano... I could go on.
The most played song on my iTunes: The Leanover, Life without Buildings. Last
Book I read without skimming any parts: After the Party by Lisa Jewell (whatev, I’m being honest! I finished it last night).
My most worn item of clothing: Dinosaur Jr band tee (I sleep in it) and Jeffrey Campbell Lita’s.
Beauty products that I hoard: Olay Regenerist Elixir, YSLRouge Pur Lipsticks and all gel eyeliners.
I smell like: Angel by Thierry Mugler.
I have faked an orgasm (Yes/No): No… Or am I faking now?
