Laura Barcella is a freelance writer, editor, and forever Jane Pratt devotee. She hails from Washington, DC, but fantasizes about living just about everywhere, including L.A., Brooklyn (her former stomping ground), Philly, Nashville, Austin, Portland, Seattle, and Baltimore.

She wrote the book The End: 50 Apocalyptic Visions From Pop Culture That You Should Know About...Before It's Too Late (Zest Books, July 2012), and conceived & edited Madonna & Me, an anthology of women's personal essays about Madonna (Soft Skull Press, March 2012).
