Kelly Maxwell is a writer, DIY fanatic, digital media nerd, and burlesque performer. She spends her days as a Media Studies grad student at The New School and will be teaching a fashion history class at Parsons. By night, she’s a bedazzled ecdysiast and songstress who spends too much on rhinestones and fake lashes. She worked hard for two undergraduate degrees back home in Colorado, but she learned more working in the costume shop of the theatre department. Her writing has appeared on BUST.com, she produces and directs web shorts for Punderdome 3000, and she’s been a guest on WNYC’s The Takeaway. She lives in NYC with her tuba playing husband and dreams of owning a herd of bulldogs.
