After a stint living aboard a sailboat in the San Francisco Bay area, Juliet high-tailed it back to rural Oregon, where she somehow (thank you, Oh Mighty Internet!) figured out how to survive as a freelance writer. She mostly writes about environmental issues, sustainable building, and -- when she gets the chance -- large sea mammals; she also writes poetry and such. She wishes she liked writing bios more. Juliet is fashion-impaired, but unusually comfortable with power tools, and loves to split wood to relax. Also hiking, gardening etc.
