In her spare time, Jessie peruses animal rescue websites, and dreams of giving a dog a “forever home.” To make enough money for such an endeavor, Jessie works as a freelance writer, an educator, and a woman of many hats at a downtown literary agency. She is a third generation union member—and proud of it. Her laugh has gotten her kicked out of too many establishments to count. Every March, she becomes obsessed with college basketball.
Jessie is also the co-editor and co-host of Bad Date Great Story, a website and bi-monthly performance series. In addition to sharing her own bad date drama on stage, she reads her nonfiction work at numerous venues throughout New York City. Her writing has been featured in Dance Magazine and Nerve.com. Jessie is a graduate of the MFA program at Hunter College, and she is currently completing a memoir.
