What I do, Job-wise: I work full-time as a staff writer for a real estate website and part-time at an art gallery in Akron, Ohio. I also do freelance copy editing—my most recent assignment was a manuscript about the Spitzer Infrared Space Telescope facility for NASA (!). I also like to write short stories and little ditties.

What I do, Fun-wise: Sometimes, I don’t do much of anything. Sometimes, writing is not fun for me, but having written something always feels good (Dorothy Parker said that, but much better. She also asked, upon being told that Calvin Coolidge was dead: “How can you tell?” That is one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard.). I like to make people laugh, but it’s hard because I’m not terribly funny.

My Motto: I’m not so sure I have one. Do all the things. That’s my new motto.

My Anti-Motto: Keep Calm and FILL IN THE BLANK.

The First Movie Star I Ever Had a Crush On: I don’t know. I’ve never had an actual crush on a movie star.

My “celebs to make out with” list: I don’t have a list and I can’t really think of anyone. Maybe I’m a prude. I guess Hemingway would have been pretty cool, but that’s a dorky thing to say.

The Most Played Song on my ITunes: Well, I don’t have i-tunes, but sometimes I can’t stop listening to 69 Love Songs.

Last book I read without skimming any parts: I am not a skimmer. I just finished Office Girl by Joe Nemo, though. It was okay.

My most worn item of clothing: A brown leather men’s belt.

Beauty products that I hoard: Deva Curl and expensive products that I’m afraid to use.

I smell like: Karma solid perfume from Lush.

I have faked an orgasm (yes/no): Yes, but not in a long long time.
