Tragically, my only talent is napping for eleventy hours every time I lay down. In between naps I like to watch all the TV shows and read every book I see, unless the first page is boring. I’m terribly original.
I write about mental illness and mental health, body acceptance, parenting a daughter, patriarchy and feminism, the world of homeschooling, sexuality, Christianity and social issues, and books and TV shows. I like to study the complexities of human nature and the logical frailties of human society. I blog here under my pen name, Bailey.
It’s tricky being a libertarian Christian feminist homeschooling depressive philosophical nerd, but I take a lot of naps to recharge so it’s going to be ok.
I’m trying to turn into a brave person.
What I Do, Fun-wise: Nap, watch Game of Thrones, teach my daughter how to read and be herself and love the world, wander, ponder, reread all the books, browse Art.com obsessively, argue about interesting stuff, laugh, make other people laugh, bike to the library, and eat a lot of things.
My Motto: “Questioning is the piety of thought.” – Heidegger
My Anti-Motto: "Strive for perfection."
The First Movie Star I Ever Had A Crush On: Josh Hartnett
The Most Played Song On My iTunes: "The Maid with the Flaxen Hair,” by Debussy
Last Book I Read Without Skimming Any Parts: "Unspoken,” by Sarah Rees Brennan
My Most Worn Item of Clothing: Uptown grey skinny jeans from Wet Seal. They’re so comfortable they don’t even feel like pants.
Beauty Products That I Hoard: E.l.f. basic brown eye-brightening pots, which are tragically both perfect for my coloring and discontinued.
I smell like: Is “sweat” an ok answer here? No? Ok, then peppermint.
