Annie is an artist and freelance writer originally from Texas. She’s covered New York Fashion Week and Paris Haute Couture Week and has worked for big time fashion designers like Alexander Wang. Her zine, Wet Mattress, recently debuted in Austin to critical acclaim… from her drunken friends. She served a brief stint as drummer for the all girl garage rock-slash-R&B band, The Sasstronauts, but the trio had a nasty falling out after coming to the hard realization that none of them owned any instruments.
What I Do, Job-wise: Hoards and peddles vintage clothes, among other things.
What I Do, Fun-wise: Travel, cook, go to shows, bathe and groom, help beautiful elderly women pick out clothes at thrift stores.
My Motto: Don’t waste time.
My Anti-Motto: Kardashian-inspired.
The First Movie Star I Ever Had A Crush On: Jeff Goldblum circa Jurassic Park
My “celebs to make out with” list: Jared Leto is elfishly small in person and Liev Schreiber is enormous. I’ve never been attracted to either, but the experiences taught me that celebrities are total circus freaks not to be fanaticized over.
The Most Played Song On My iTunes: It’s a dead tie at 441 between ‘Lil Girl in the Woods by King Khan & BBQ Show and Stampede by Night Beats.
Last Book I Read Without Skimming Any Parts: Shalimar the Clown
My Most Worn Item of Clothing: My good friend’s mom’s vintage carpet sandals.
Beauty Products That I Hoard: All of them. I still have Bath & Body Works roll-on body glitter from fourth grade and Lip Smacker Vanilla lip balm from fifth.
I smell like: Salty body odor veiled thinly with notes of Tide detergent.
I Have Faked An Orgasm (Yes/No): No, I’m brutally honest.
