Abby Sher is a writer, performer, mother of three and big fan of chaos. Her memoir, Amen, Amen, Amen: Memoir of a Girl Who Couldn’t Stop Praying was published by Scribner in October, 2009. It got a nod from Oprah and won ELLE 's Readers’ Prize, Chicago Tribune’s Best of 2009, and Moment Magazine’s Emerging Writers Award. Abby also wrote a young adult book, Kissing Snowflakes, for Scholastic in 2007, and essays for numerous anthologies. Her next book Breaking Free, is about women who’ve survived sex trafficking; and it's due out in June of 2014. She continues to perform at different theaters in New York (usually in a moustache), and is writing for TV and film.
